Best Team

How about the 87 Meyersdale team. They finished 2nd at states "team point wise", or the 69 Jenner Boswell team???? What Bedford team might you be talking about?????????????

I believe it was the 97-98 Bedford team that was ranked #1 in the state for most of the season. I'm not sure who all was on that team but I know they were very very tough. Two state finalists in Zeigler and Baker.

1998 Bedford team would probably be the best. 1990 North Star team was very good also.

First off, apples and oranges can"t be compared. Today, the road to Hershey is a much easier one, than the sixties. Now you have wrestle backs, less wrestlers, and two divisions. I don't believe many of today's wrestlers could have wrestled for Ed Clark or Marshall Policcichio, but by the same token, I don't think they could have coached today's kids. I won't argue which teams where the best ever, but I will give you my opion of some of the best. Then the experts can hash it out.

1962 Bedford 3 state qualifiers two runner ups one didn't get to wrestle due to illness the replacement made it to the finals. NOT BAD

1969 Jenner Boswell 2 state runner ups.

1998 Bedford 2 state runner ups

1990 North Star 5 qualifiers 1 runner up

The experts can hash it out, but these are the most notable.

After reading my post I realized I forgot the 1987 Meyersdale team. Six qualifiers 1 champ a couple of place winners and a second place team finish. Couldn't leave this team off the list. Now the experts can go at it.
