2018 Year In Review

Post by Sykotyk »

2018 is in the books. Last season, I attended 118 high school varsity football games in 11 different states. 220 different teams in 59 different stadiums. 36 state championship games in New York, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Texas. Traveled 18,493 total miles seeing the games, including three Browns games.

As I do every year, this is a recap of my travels. The games I've seen and the thoughts about them as a whole.

There's 16,144 high school football teams (6/8/9/11-man) in the U.S. I've seen personally 1,061 teams (current, former, and also a few Canadian), which is only 6.584% of the total. Still a long ways to go.
