Very good point Southpaw...we talk about that often. The NB's (140), Tm's, and Evt's(180'ish), and CR (200'ish) of the world have more kids but split their numbers in half (due to wrestling) and SF (100) and McC-burg (140) in particular are just as well off if not better with no Wrestling program to compete for those available boys.

Ever wonder one of the "hidden" reasons Williamsburg and Windber have been so tough over the long haul? Every athlete is groomed to be a basketball player from early ages....no Wrestling to compete with hoops.

It was a pretty good game. The best officiating I have seen in Warfordsburg(before it was bordered on ridiculous). Of course it was my first trip to the "teepee" in about 15 years. At least the refs didn't make it obvious but they were still pretty pathetic.

It was a good game. Good defense on both sides. SF did a good job of mugging Barefoot and not letting him do much. Ben Way from Ridge had a nice game.

CR did give them a run. SF opened up early but Ridge made a nice run of their own at the end of the 1st quarter. Barefoot got molested all game by Schriver and whoever else guarded him. The refs weren't calling so what can you do. Some horrible calls were made both ways.
Way hit some big shots down the stretch for them.
