I do agree with roadie's leadership theory. Harris is an amazing basketball player, but he is not an outspoken and crafty leader. The playbookboy will take a lot of blame for not stepping up and being an outspoken leader.

I hope the team will take every let down and lose as a lesson, and remember it for next year.

First off I don't understand how you can tell people that Marshall doesn't play because he wasn't playing good D. If that is the case then why is Troy playing? I saw the Central guard take it around him numerous times and nobody said anything to Troy. So how is that fair.

I also played for Bedford my freshman and sophomore year and I also have watched quite a few games this year. And from what I have experienced and from what I have seen this year Bedford's main problem is that they are very selfish. I am not saying that everyone is selfish because it only takes 1 or 2 selfish players to make the whole team seem that way. And what happens as the game goes on the players get alittle tired both physically and mentally and they do stupid stuff and because of the selfishness the rest of their teammates don't help bring them up or help them out they yell at them and all everyone does is point the finger at someone else. Bedford needs to sub. If substitutions were not a vital part of keeping a team fresh mentally and physically then why would teams do it?

I am not sure whether Bedford has the size or the talent to compete in the LHAC because I havent seen the competition. But in the past few years they have had temendous athletes and good basketball players and they haven't won and one thing that all these years have in common is the fact that they never substituted.

IEATHAM... I have a question for you? You turned your back on Bedford.. people you had played your whole life with... so why do you come back to the bball games and sit at the score table??

Food for thought, for those folks who believe a lot of Bedford's troubles can be traced to what's going on between the ears (aka 'mental toughness')....

Bedford is something like 1-13 so far this year in LHAC conference matchups.

In contrast, they're (by my count) 5-1 in games versus local, SHL members.

Yes, IMO the LHAC is tougher from top to bottom than the SHL, but the difference isn't that dramatic.

This tells me that Bedford can be a pretty good team when they 'come to play', but that they seem to have trouble doing so for anyone that's not a traditional rival. One sign of a team that has their heads together is that they 'show', regardless of whom they're playing or where it's at. Bedford seems to be a textbook case of a team that can't or won't do that.

Very well put CHSDragonFan....I would add that if they want to cry about not making the playoffs they should think about what they didn't do (Home losses vs CH, F.Hills, P.Cam, etc.) instead of what they did (beat Bedford County schools in 4 of 5 games).

Those LHAC home games, other than Johnstown and CC, were all "winnable"

i dont know what you are talking about head roadie, no one in this thread has been complaining about not making the playoffs. The j-town game was no unwinnable for infact bedford's slow down game plan had the bisons up at half time. They lost it in the last quarter with sluggish, fatigued defense.

Head Roadie is referring to Bedford's Coach Waltman constantly whining in the paper about how their tough schedule is keeping them out of the playoffs. I thought it was really classless of him to run down 2 programs in the Altoona Mirror, Shade and Fannett-Metal, by saying Bedford would make playoffs it they had those types of teams on their schedule. It was a real slam on SHL. Bedford has way to much talent to be where there at in the LHAC. I agree with HR, they at least should have won a majority of their conference home games.

OK PlaybookBoy, we'll add Johnstown to the coulda/shoulda category....Now explain why they are not .500 and in the playoffs?

We have J-town, PC, BC, CHts, FHills, Central on the "should have won at home list" that would have put them at 11-7 right now and in.
