Helps when your entire secondary is 6' or better. No weakness at any spot. Not one kid undersized. That's the difference you get.

Wonderful...congratulations to the Central Pennsylvania All-Stars. The team representing multiple school districts and multiple counties in the greater Altoona area had enough fire power to overcome the Port Allegheny Gators---total population of Port Allegheny = 2,100 people. Probably the greatest season in Port Allegheny Football history. In case you're wondering...Port Allegheny is in McKean county PA. McKean county doesn't have a population of 40,000 people. Sure hope the Central PA All Stars were able to raise enough money to cover the costs of their trip to the state finals through their GoFUND me page...

Congratulations to Port Allegheny! The best single A football team in PA, for a school district that has boundaries that is.

They all reside in on county not multiple. And if you care to look at the video the school instagram page put out, they’ve all(maybe with the exception of 1-3 players) been in the altoona catholic system since grade school. And the ones that did come in after that were altoona kids that came in as sophomores and freshman. Congratulations to Port Allegheny on a tremendous season. And congratulations to bishop Guilfoyle on their championship.

“With the exception of 1-3 kids”

That’s a huge difference in A football.

If BG was up in AA where they should be. We wouldn't be having this conversation. I was really hoping Penn Cambria would have made it and won. Like to see another public school like Tyrone win it all.

We were having this conversation when they were in 2a. So, that doesn’t fly for me. We all know what this is. I accept most of it. But to demean and denigrate kids for their hard work, simply out of spite and hate in the form of calling them the central pa all stars, and saying falsely they come from multiple counties is wrong. And I’m not taking away the hard work that port Allegheny did. 15-0, had the game tied, showed a tremendous amount of strength, grit, skill, and pride. Super impressed and proud of their accomplishments as well. We can make points without demeaning kids is all.
