PIAA adopts new classification rules

Post by Rumorman78 »

Looks like BG will not be leaving 1A for at least the next 2 years, under the new classification rule changes adopted on Wed., by PIAA.

Haha and we know they won't voluntarily play up like Aliquippa. Could you imagine if Aliquippa played in single A like their enrollment size is.

I believe their enrollment makes them AA, they elect to play AAA, and success plus transfers has made them AAAAA

That’s my biggest issue with the PIAA competition formula, it doesn’t account for teams who are voluntarily playing up like them. I do believe they benefit from transfers more than they let on, but they should have won their appeal to stay AAAA for the simple fact that they are already electing to play up

I do see now they won the appeal or rather the PIAA dropped it, but it should have never went that far
