How do you know the guy who said that doesn't have 100 wins??

I don't know Coach Marko but he appears to do a pretty good job, but others are entitled to their opinion --- And if the person posting happens to have more wins than Marko does that allow them to spout off----if so be careful bump

i believe the person that started the "marko rebellion" has racked up quite a few wins, im almost positive that the man has 50 in the past 3 years, i could be wrong, but if so then i think he mite be worthy of saying marko isnt a great coach

Yeah, well it is hard to take what Old School said as something that is serious as I go back and read the post. Marco doesn't know wrestling?!?! Well, I don't know who MARCO is... When you know something about a coach and if he or she is good or not, you should know how to spell the man's name...

OK I'll come clean I think Marko is a great coach. Then why did I post that he wasn't you are asking...well I was talking to Gunner the other day about how boring BC has been lately. I wanted to spice things us a little and try to get a controversy going ...LOL it worked...so I posted Marco wasn't a good coach and the rest is history.

old school, Coach Marko will never have a team with a bunch of no-names because the team will only ever be made up of Claars, Weyandts, and Musselmans. (*Notice I used the "d" in Weyandt- the Claysburg spelling, now the Imler spelling is Weyant with no "d")

You got the spelling correct for once lefty. I think marko is a good coach but I wouldn't consider great. If he was so great his wrestlers like the elite ones that was mentioned like Thad Benton, Tipton, both the Mussleman's would not have need to go to private practice in state college after claysburg practice. Currently some of the puppy dogs go a couple times a week as are the Snyder boys from Hyndman to Ebensburg to work out with the Strittmatters. I would give more credit to those kids and their parents for taking the next step themselve's. I think Chris Harr (THE WILD 1) did more with less than Marko does. I also think they have a better JH coach now than they did when THE WILD 1 was there coach.

He is a great coach who gets the most out of his kids. But he is not well like among his fellow coaches. He is a little arrogant and talks down to other coaches.

you are right about one thing hog, chris was a good coach. but you have some things wrong too. some, not all but some of those great wrestlers you talked about did do extra workouts at chertow's and at upj. but what you may not know is that any wrestler with state champ goals is doing the same thing all over the state. a funny thing too is i bet you didn't know that strittmatters used to come to work out with coach marko in the claysburg wrestling room along with shad benton, charlie brenneman, the fricks, and other upj wrestlers during the summer. any great kid looks for more workouts and the claysburg kids are encouraged to do that to. to dep, i've talked with other coaches and have never gotten the impression that coach didn't get along rather well with others. if he's put people off it would only be because of his drive to win.

Marko is a great coach and has an unbelievable program that sometimes gets overshadowed by their fans and their unsportsmanlike behavior at times. Top to bottom every one of his kids go out and wrestle their hardest. He takes average kids that in other programs would be below .500 wrestlers and turns them into kids that go out and have a chance at qualifing for regionals every year.
To switch gears on this topic a little bit i think Blair Packard has done the most impressive job in terms of turning a program around. Tyrone was having some tough years and since Blair came in three years ago they have made consecutive trips to district duals, being in the finals both years and winning this year. And by the looks of what he has in terms of coming up from junior high next year he will be able to reload and build a stronger top to bottom line up and a very young line up at that
