Playoff time: Central vs. Bishop McCort LISTEN LIVE
She shot the ball well and was a fan favorite among the people I was sitting with from my school. She seemed a little too unsure about her shots though, like she was almost feeling bad that she may be taking too many. If I could give her one piece of advice that Joe Crispin actually told me one time, he said, "When you're playing you can't have a conscience, you can't feel bad because if you don't shoot it, someone will." I still remember him saying that.

She should be very good... the season ended tonight and no one is going to forget those seniors, but that is the sport. It is on to next season for the LDB.

Well part of the game is that everyone is always looking to next year what will be and what could have been. Each year thinks they have the best. Until Central gets another big girl playing it will be the same thing.
Central was leading by 13 at the start of the 4th and then at times there were 2 or 3 seniors sitting all the time, that is what lost the game. There is no substitute for experience at that type of game. Each time all year long when the seniors would get a lead they would sit and central would loose it that is what happened last night against mccourt.
Laratonda was never where she was to be on a play, anyone that follows central and knows their plays, knows she was never in the right spot. She has no basketball sense, she is playing on her athletic ability, Anytime you saw coach neil yelling it was at her for not being where she needs to be. she will be good the next two years but she is not what they needed at that point in time last night. anyway, it was good to see the boys there supporting the girls and a lot of great dragon fans.
Nevins will be the leader of the team next year and crooks will provide an impact inside but central needs to play more over the off season they have kind of gotten away from that and with the big turnover loosing 5 seniors they need to play in some spring, summer and fall leagues to get some playing experience together, that is one thing this current senior class had missed out on.

dragon, Maybe there were 3 seniors sitting at one time because they were not the best for that particular situation.
I disagree with Laratonda not having any basketball sense. Shannon has been playing for 5 or 6 years now and definately has basketball sense. I'm not saying she was in the right position during this game because I was not there but she knows what she's doing.
Any team with a 13 point lead in the 4th quarter should win.

So your faulting the coaching?? Maybe that's why I heard the coaches wife "flipped out" last night after the game...guess you have to blame someone....I wasn't there so I don't know but sounded like Central just didn't handle the pressure of the 4th Qtr. very well but Coach Neil has been around the block and in those situations, I'm sure being at practice every night he knows who the best people are to handle that situation moreso than anyone else and if it's not Seniors then so be it. My opinion is that Laratonda, Nevins, and Feathers (Only 1 SR) are the best ballhandlers and I think all of them were in the game late weren't they?

Everyone seems to have their own opinion about who should have been in late in the game but i am with dragon4life.........at the end of a close game and in OT i would want my STARTING 5 in (which yes were all seniors) just for the plain and simple fact that they worked their butts off for 4 years and earned the right to try to win it for themselves. Not sayin the younger ones didnt deserve to be in there but they have 2-3 more years to show what they can do. This was the last game for those seniors and i feel bad that they couldnt be in there late in the game to try to save their season. Just my opinion though. Still a good year for LDB and some good talent coming back

Do you read your post before you put them out there? Maybe you are blaming the coaching because "Ferry" was running the point and she is not one of the top 3 guards in your opinion?
Guess this discussion needs to end!!
