everett could have done better, but CT had a great defense. they killed everett in rebounding for the most part. the only "excuse" (as im sure it will be called) was that the refs i think were in favor of CT seeing as our first foul shot was in the 3rd...yea...ridiculous. and i am not one to wish bad things on other teams but i truly hope with all the crap those CT kids talked tonight they get their rear ends handed to them by NS.
good season fellas way to finish strong.

I hardly doubt that the CT team talked trash, they are one of the most pollite teams i have seen play all year, and for NS blowing them i doubt that will happen either. Although NS haas the potential to its the CT/NS match up, both teams always show up to play. Last time it was NS, and the most amazing part to the game was they held andy byer to 7 points i believe. Thats an accomplishment. The first game CT won but NS was without their leader, Drew Shubik, but Neri filled in well nicely with 22 points. i dont really think i can pick a team to win this game because its gonna be close. Both teams are hot but there can only be one champion, so let the best team win.

Why have there been two Somserset Cty and only one Bedford Cty refs in at least two of the playoff games? I'm assuming Martin is from Somerset.
I know ridge got jobbed bad by a township ref against Windber. At least that chucklehead did do the Everett/CT game last night. I wasn't there but I'll bet Muha jobbed Everett pretty good.

It was a very tough game for Everett and it didn't seem like a playoff game at all. The only fans that were into the game were Conemaugh Township fans and heck they were the away team!! Everett didn't shoot well enough to be launching 3's all game long. CT was not even worried about them going around them to the basket and why would they when Everett didn't do it at all but maybe once and scored!! Too Bad for Bedford County teams this season for the playoffs only one left Tussey Girls and that has to be a record out for the County because usually Bedford County is strong in the playoffs.

The officials did a good job...Muha included. My guess is that the reason for 2 Somerset and 1 Bed.Co. official is that there are more Som. Co. officials qualified to do playoffs. I'm not sure though why Fulton Co. wasn't used although when you consider that with the SHL covering both Bed and Fulton Counties that wouldn't have been fair for CT either.
Everett just plain and simple didn't play well, played tentatively, and were unwilling to attack CT's zone defense...No penetration into the seams, no baseline drives, High Post players were unwilling to square up and make something happen most of the time. I think one County coach who sat with me summed it up best..."lack of playoff experience" as being a big detriment to the Warriors and it showed.
CT is very decent and very well coached and Byer is a great player but they are nothing special. I've seen much better CT teams over the years.
One thing that did bother me. In the CT student section a guy was criticizing every single call made that went against CT. After watching this I recognized him as an official that did the McC-burg vs Shanksville 5-A semifinal!!! In that game he made an offensive charge signal but then "changed his mind" and called a block (and was probably correct). Anyway, there was a big blowup about that during the 5-A game and I think that a fellow D5 Semifinal official shouldn't have been so vocal in criticizing his three peers...it didn't look good and really bothered me to see that. It would be like coaches in the same league publicly criticizing each others decisions vocally during a game....classless. Sorry I got off the subject.
