julie moved to mccort to play soccer for her club coach, who in that very year, transferred to the head coaching job at richland high. personally i think she made a major mistake, CT has a great school and great athletics, but i guess the allure of "being recruited" and meeting the catholic school boys was too overpowering for her to come to her senses....

Township losing Julie Bruce certainly hurt, but they haven't been one of the top dogs in D5 or the WestPac since the mid 90's. They probably went from mediocre to poor in the last couple of years. But it doesn't take a lot to turn things around ..... get a few good athletes out for the team and things will begin to turn back.

Ridge
You may see a few surprises from Ridge this year, some are looking pretty good for this early in the season. Colby Mock for one went to finals up at PSU at the indoor meet. Never know this early though...

that is impressive hesse, but no offense...not that many people participate in indoor track. doesnt take away from the guys accomplishment of setting the meet record but i know for a fact that bedfords school record is over 50 feet, and also 48' 5" would have earned him 14th in boys AA at shippensburg where the champ tossed it 64' 5 3/4"

Indoor track isn't big in our part of the state (due to the lack of facilities and the schools being relatively small). It is more popular for the bigger schools in the western part of the state and it's very big in the eastern part of the state. It's not as popular as outdoor track though.
One thing about indoor meets in track is that there are no classifications... all schools compete together. 48'5 is a very good throw for indoors. No, it won't place at states, but usually a toss of around 51' will. Adding 2-3 feet between indoor and outdoor states is not unrealistic.
