Checking in on Brandon Bowser (NBC Grad at James Madison)

Post by Coach »

Passing on the info of another local athlete who is doing nice things at college. Brandon plays CF for the James Madison Dukes in Virginia (a good Division 1 baseball school).

Season stats link: http://www.jmusports.com/Team/Stats/3/teamcume.htm

Bowser has been playing since an injury to a teammate. In six games and 20 at bats Brandon is tied for the team lead hitting at a .450 clip. Bowser is also 5-5 on stolen base attempts. His .522 On Base Percentage leads the team.

His player profile can be seen at: http://www.jmusports.com/Team/Players/3 ... p?TeamID=3

At this link you can listen to their baseball games. Maybe someday when you are at home on the computer you can catch one of JMU's games...

Bowser is a BURNER to say the least, he can move. I heard he is going to the Cape Cod league this summer instead of coming back to Johnstown to play. Is there any truth to this? Brandon will almost certainly be drafted after college with his combo of speed and avg.

This James Madison site is one of the BEST college team sites I have EVER seen. I was checking out info on football and they have one of those player cards for each of their players (I think they look really neat). I also noticed that JMU plays D1 WEST VIRGINIA next season in football!

Im glad 2 see hes playing a good bit. This guy can flat out play the game of baseball, and no one works harder than him at it. I was surprised he didnt get more D1 looks than he did, but anyway, if he doesnt get drafted in a few years i will be surprised. Im glad he is doing well, I couldnt think of anyone that deserves it more.

Bows (Castle) has recently had a set-back. He broke his thumb. He will be out for a while.

Very nice to see local talent go out and play major college sports. Good Luck to B as he has a good future ahead of him.
