Fiction....how can you say that Barefoot didn't deserve it??? Two guys...they didn't want co-MVPs, so one player had to be chosen.

Fact.... Harris should have reveived MVPfor the reason that he received the 3rd most votes for the Altoona Mirrors first team, Barefoot only made third team. So he can make the first team of the Mirror but can't make MVP of the Gazette.
This post is in no way of ripping on Brian Barefoot. I know the kid very well and he is an outstanding athlete, and is very deserving of the award. I just gave my opinion of the situation.

Fiction....Barefoot played for a winning team that was in the league championship hunt and the playoffs largely due to his performances.

Bedford only won, what??? 7 games? If Troy Harris isn't on Bedford's team maybe they only win 5. If Barefoot isn't on CR team they drop (my opinion) to a below .500 team....so WHO IS MOST VALUABLE TO THEIR TEAM?

could it possibly be that, dare i say it, ridge had a better team than bedford? to have good stats on a good team isnt overly difficult, to have good stats on a bad team is alot harder in my opinion

Gunner: MVP is not about Stats alone....Check in any sport, in any league, and in any tournament and see if you can find just ONE where said MVP came from a team closer the bottom than the top of the final standings?

Now if your confusing this (MVP) with Outstanding Player in Bedford County....Then I'll say FACT and cast my vote for Harris. There is a big difference. The Gazette does not, however, select an outstanding player.

Fiction. I can't believe Harris didn't get it though. Since it is the Bedford Gazette and the Bedford boys usually always get the upper hand in it.

FACT FACT FACT and can i say FACT!!!!! come on he was by far the best player in the county. First order of business he was named first team alttona mirror and was 3rd leading vote recipient. Barefoot on the other hand made 3rd team i believe. Troy had a higher average against much much harder LHAC opponent. And the games I saw of ridge the game got out of hand and Barefoot was still in the game playig against second string as where Harris was benched. For example the the 2 games they played each other Barefoot shot terrible in those games but still had alot of point cause he shot countless times.....I would love to hear good reasons for Barefoot being MVP???
