When I opened the paper this morning to the sports section and looked under pole vault for CR, there was no Koenig that even placed. Did he not compete or is he not all he talks himself up to be??

im thinkin the weather was trouble...i dont know if you've ever pole vaulted before...but its not easy when its nice out....when it starts to rain and the pole gets wet...it's almost impossible to hold onto the pole

I was impressed with the vaulters from Ridge yesterday. they had nice form. But i was more impressed with the coach from Westmont. He encouraged all the vaulters that were willing to listen and impressed upon his vaulters to show excellent sportsmanship. He is what i think all High School coaches should be. Job well done to PV coach from Westmont :!:

We would like to congradulate McClosky(sp?) on achieving his pr of 11' today. By the end of the year, we think it could get interesting at districts.

Look at today's paper and judge for yourself about Ridge's vaulters. I think 11'6" is doing pretty well at this point in the season. We also came out a little bit in the long and triple jump, with Mock doing 19'7" and Utz doing 40'8". However, McConellsburg got a Spriggs in there, first time he competed this season apparently, that did 20'3" and 40' 8.25". Kinda sucks, but hey, it happens.
