Wow, I can't even begin to imagine the damage Elder will do once she is a senior. Things seem to be looking good for Berlin...they did a good job at the invitational yesterday.

Yeah, didn't Ashley Wilson get 2nd and then Melanie Zack get 3rd yesterday in the mile? I can't remember. But those two and Elder are definately gonna be leading the numbers in the distance this year.

I saw Elder run yesterday and she was very impressive and seems to have a very bright future. I've seen and heard of runners being very good their first few years... but be their senior year they burn out and become just average runners.

Ashley Wilson ran a 5:50, and Melanie Zack ran a 6:04 in the 1600. In the 800, Jessica Donaldson (Tussey) ran a 2:35, and Ashley Wilson ran a 2:37. In the 3200, Melanie Zack ran a 13:04.
Megan Elder of Berlin won all of those events with a 5:40, a 2:29, and a 12:21. She's amazing to do that.

They aren't doing so hot this year without Steph Blackstone. I believe, from looking over my Bedford Invitational packet just now, their mile times are past the 7 minute mark and their 2 mile times are almost 17 minutes.

So how is the NBC distance looking?
