Steelers Draft
It seems way too easy.I believe there are well placed smoke screens in place.Steelers talk QB and trades......they are getting a corner.There are 3 maybe 4 QB s in the draft,that could be 1st round material.They are driving the frenzy up about the QB's and shifting the focus away from a position that is weak after the top few guys,....DB.Pitts. will get D'Angelo Hall,Robinson,or Taylor 1st.Possibly a QB 2nd,but more likely,a Derek Strait in the 2nd round(hopefully),whose stock has dropped a little for some reason.I stand by my statement that DB's need nurturing,instead of being tossed into the fire.BUT, Sean Taylor looks more like a Mel Blount,than any safety in recent years.Hits like a hammer,covers alot of ground quick,and is 6'2,you won't go over him.PLEASE trade up for this kid!

As a safety, Taylor isn't getting a lot of publicity. If Pittsburgh wants him, I'm sure they could get him with a number 11. Maybe even trade down a few spots and get him with a 15, but I wouldn't wanna do that. They'd be worth an 11 pick.

I know I'm saying this after the fact but Sean Taylor was on everybody's radar screen. Going 5th in a talent laden draft is remarkable for a safety and Taylor is that good. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he made the Pro Bowl his rookie year.
I really wanted the Steelers to get him but I knew he wouldn't fall that far and they would have given up way to much to move up to the 5th spot.

there was no way that taylor was dropping below the 7th pick clevland wanted him badly, but Giants didn't want to risk them picking rivers so they didn't trade up.
but who did get them the 'Skins
gibbs said that portis whispered in his ear all week. sean taylor sean taylor. it also didn't help winslow that his agents are the ones filing a 6.5 million grievance against the skins. personally i thought they'd get winslow. while gibbs was a 0-coordinator at san diego he invented the "H" back formation with his father kellen. But joe said that he wasn't a good enough blocker for his liking
