Bedford track is still kinda sucky too. It's almost like running on concrete. What they did is they painted it over to look real nice, but only added maybe a quarter inch (if that) of rubberized padding, and filled in the places where the concrete showed through.

its not the nicest around, but its ALOT better than what we had...and yes it is rubberized, and not just 1/4 inch either. at least u can see the lines on it, unlike some places, cough ridge cough!
Ridge's track does need repainted, especially the white curved line that starts every distance race. But at least it has some give that makes the impact easier on runners, quite unlike Bedford's 'rubberized' track.

Wait till you get on NB's track in another year. In freezing conditions Tuesday night both of Everett's Long Jumpers (Hillenbrand 20-0.5, Garland 19-11.75) and NB's SOPH TJ'er (Shaffron 40-8.5) had their biggest jumps of the year. Everyone PR'ed in the 100 also even though neither E or NB are "sprint powers". Bring on the NB Invitational, SHL Meet, and District 5 Meet to Loysburg and a primo track surface next year!
Actually I ran my freshman year and that track messed my ankles all up which suck already so the doc said I wasn't allowed to run. So yeah I do know how bad the track was Gunner, I just thought it was weird how they asked and asked for it then we all the sudden got it. I dunno thats y I said I was just wondering cause I didn't know. Sorry Gunner
