County Meet

Post by southpaw »

The Bedford County Meet is Thursday. Post your predictions and thoughts.

Boys: Bedford is the heavy favorite but don't count out Ridge

Girls: Bedford would have to be considered the favorite but the Ridge Girls could outpoint the bisons!

right on Paw, Bedford is HEAVILY favored in boys. It would be hard for them not to win.
In girls, I think it would take a darn near perfect day on Ridge's part for them to get past Bedford. So I would have to go with Bedford.

I heard a rumor that Bedford might be missing a few girls and or boys because of a trip, maybe the senior trip? Any truth to the rumor?

Well that shouldn't affect them too much since Bedford's band is pretty small in numbers.

There's also the LHAC meet the day before on Wednesday, but I'm gonna keep my mouth shut til Thursday comes and goes, lest the Bisons puff themselves up on here anyways. Well, it won't make a difference. Any idea on the seeds?

I think this question has a large impact on the outcome, and will determine on how close the meet is and how well ridge does. Is Ridge ready to step up and grab the title from the defending Bedford Bisons, or, are they going to crack mentally and admit defeat before the meet even begins? We all know what happened in the regular season. But what will happen this time?

Actually, the band trip will affect the girls a lot. Our triple & long jumper, Nicole Lightner will be out. As well as Mandy Hampson, who runs the 400 and 800. And Erin Decker, who is a thower. There might be more, but those are the girls who first come to mind.
