halliburton........basically cheney was at halliburton for many years, and gets like $1M a year from them in 'defered retirement benefits' or something like that, halliburton is also the company that got the multi BILLION dollar contract to rebuild Iraq after we destroyed it

if that was bill clinton and al gore had done something like this in the late 90s, you wouldn't be able to look anywhere without hearing about it

also......i wonder how many people can name the presidents largest (gave the most money) donator in 2000??....it was a little company from texas named "Enron". and people sit around and wonder why Martha Stewart gets hit with alot of trouble, and the Enron execs still havn't been brought to justice. Stewart didn't really hurt anyone with what she did......Enron killed tons of people's retirement.

Bush's criticism of Kerry for being married to the Heinz woman is also unfounded........to this point H.J. Heinz has dontated more money to the Bush Campaign than the Kerry Campaign, and if there is a problem with them conducting business overseas like they do, bush should push for legislation against such this, not blame Kerry.

I can go on writing a list here.......the bush campaign has attacked John Kerry's military record.....John Kerry actually went to war, Did George W.? NO! (yet he likes to dress up like a war guy and has action figures) Cheney? NO! Wolfowitz? NO!......i really dont have a clue what this has to do with rumsfeld, but i felt like ranting for a little bit

Rumsfeld should be given the Congressional Medal of Honor. BTW- Did anyone besides me ever hear of "Whitewater"? That episode with a Blue Dress? The Impeachment hearings? Also btw- Slick Willie's memoirs come out in June. Should rocket to the top of the best sellers chart and earn him somewhere in the neighborhood of a cool 10 Mil. Also, it comes out at the thick of the Presidential campaign, taking away any hope of Kerry staying in the limelight, because Hilary doesn't WANT Kerry to win, thereby opening the door for her in 2008. If Kerry were to win, then in 2008 he would be the incumbent, and she wouldn't stand a chance to get the nomination, and she doesn't want to wait until 2012.

you are honestly comparing "whitewater" to enron????

and the blue dress??? big deal, when Bill Clinton lied to the country, it affected three people......just three. when George Bush lied to the country, over hundreds of americans were killed, and hundreds of thousands of people were affected (in iraq and america).......we tried to impeach Clinton, but pat bush on the back!?!?!?!?!

award cruelty and strike down upon human nature........

Has Halliburton been linked to anything illegal?

You mean other than Schlumberger, the French company, the only two major oil/ gas fitters in the entire world? That's why Halliburton is involved over there, trying to help their sorry Arab a$$e$ rebuild their major industry/ infrastructure. Halliburton is an American company, Schlumberger is NOT.

I think Halliburton is receiving a lot of unnecessary scrutiny based on Cheneys previous involvement with them.

Dick Cheney was a VP at Halliburton because he must have had his "act" together to get that position. He obviously was very good at what he does. Then, he gets nominated to be THE VICE PRESIDENT of the U.S. Of course, he steps down from his Halliburton post to help run the country. Is he going to be THE VP for life? Of course not. Should he be expected to forget he ever was at Halliburton? Again of course not. Also of course, this looks bad to EVERY WHINING LIBERAL, because it appears to them, that every time Halliburton maybe gets an edge, Cheney gets an edge. I've explained the WHY as to Halliburton being in the Middle East. If you want to call that sort of a monopoly, go ahead. If you had a problem, with anything, wouldn't you want or try to get the MOST COMPETENT PEOPLE to try to help you?

Way to temper a hot button issue with some common sense.

The Liberals will continue to throw sticks at this issue. But then again that is their job.
