People are saying on here that you cannot judge Sivits, because all we know is what the media tells us. Yet, I bet they're saying this just because this is a local man. Take O.J. Simpson. All we know is what the media told us. And I'll bet that most of the people on here believe he's guilty of murder. We judged and condemned him, did we not? What about the Texas prisoner? I just threw out an article there, that's all you know about him, and you're all willing to condemn him to death. Yet Jeremy Sivits, we can't judge him, cuz all we know is what the media told us. Isn't that what we do with celebrities, politicians, criminals, and everybody else we read about in the newspaper every stinking day? Judge them according to what the media has told us. Why should that change? Just because he's from Hydnman. Don't get me wrong, I don't think we can judge him. But there's just so many more people out there that we know less about, and do judge.

I agree with you fleaflicker. It is just that when your town is harrassed day in and day out by the media and they say things completely wrong about the town, the people, or Jeremy, it makes you not judge things anymore. Sorry for the confusion.

One big difference,OJ and most of the rest were accused of hurting innocent people,AMericans too. While Sivitts is getting the attention for doing wrong by WAR CRIMINALS.There is a big difference to me.While the principle is agrreable, most people (me anyway) would sooner give our soldiers a little more benefit of the doubt.

Exactly. God forbid the media give any attention to the reasons why President Bush is fighting this war. If they showed too much of what those animals are capable of, it just might lend to the fact that President Bush was right in starting this war.CRLionDawg wrote:Maybe its because focusing on the prison issues reflects poorly on Bush.
