byer needs to learn how to create. ... when u dont have hefty todd araundt and others setting 6 screens each time he has the ball, he's not going to do anything ... he will be held to under 20 points next year ... if teams can play D and get through screens .... and as for the center/forward.... please if your talking about who i think, he is decent and maybe should have had more PT this year, but he's gonna be averaging 8 a game, being their 2nd highest scorer, but isnt a threat ... its gonna be all byer, if teams let him score at will.
8 points per game for a center that hits 3s... id say his 3 point shooting is better and more accurate than byer's but dont hold either short....you leave him at the perimeter hell get 3 times more than 8 points and he can play inside, not great but he can play inside... and byer can create he may not be a "shubik" but as you people say no1 can take on shubik

ok.....we need about andy byer and jeff berkey and what they r gonna do next season...but what players does everyone expect to come out of nowhere or have a break out year and make first team in somerset county...does anyone have a chance at beating out byer for most outstanding senior?....and if they these kids make an impact will it be to make playoffs, win districts, or just improve their team by 2 or 3 wins?

Windber
It's not a rumor any more, Windber's coach got the Johnstown boys job. John Fuschino who coached at Somerset and Windber has taken the Johnstown job. He has been teaching in Johnstown for the last few years. Seems like a good and logical fit. Windber probably will move up the Asst. coach (Kevin Charney-Windber Legend in early 80's ... scored over 1000 points at Windber and Lock Haven)
I thought Fuschino did a great job at Windber. I saw them beat McCort. Other than Kitcho they had nothing.
Good Luck to both.
