The best movie I've seen in the past few years is one I saw just out on DVD -- "Monster" -- about the woman serial killer who was executed in Florida a few years ago. It's a heartbreaking and grim film with an Academy Award-winning performance by Charize Theron. Unlike most films, this one stays with you. If you like mindless drivel, don't watch it. But if you like an occasional cinematic challenge, rent or buy it. Plus it's one of the greatest acting jobs in the history of movies.
