Deadwood vs. The Sopranos

Post by foghorn »

Only one more episode of "Deadwood" left, the best dramatic series on TV, in my humble opinion. Despite the constant swearing, the show has some of the best writing and acting on the tube. Plus it's a western -- a very different kind of western.

This season's last "The Sopranos" fizzled to an end yesterday. This used to be a great show and still has wonderful acting -- but the writing has really been subpar this year. Another example of a show that's past its prime.

I'm with ya Fog...I love Deadwood...I liked their fall series Carnivale also...was never a Sopranos fan though. I'll miss the final episode next Sun. as I'll be on vacation, will have to catch a repeat.

i thought the sopranos was good this year except for the 20 minute long dream that Tony had. I thought it was good writing having Johnny Sack gettin arrested by the feds while Tony was there. I thought it was a good season and i cant wait for the final 10 episodes in 2006.
