Bucs Streak!!!

Post by foghorn »

Hey, three in a row!!! What a great game to watch last night: wonderful pitching, terrific fielding, timely hitting, and a truly heads reckless but gutsy bit of baserunning by Jack Wilson who went to third on a double after the bonehead left fielder for the Cards threw behind the runner. The throw from second got by the third baseman and Wilson scored to win the game.

Great job in the booth by Brown and Walk (BW is, in my humble opinion, has become as good an analyst as any of those guys on ESPN or Fox.

Anyway, where are those people on BC who were callng for Lloyd's head a few days ago? Wait a minute, that was me. Whadda I know?

Watched the Buccos this afternoon on Fox. The streak is now 9. They're still down by 11-12 games, but you have to admit they're playing great baseball. Excellent starting pitching is the key, though, and admittedly some very patient managing by Lloyd. Shows what idiots like me know who were clamoring for his head a week or so ago. Hopefully they can stop the streak stuff soon and just play good sound baseball.

The Pirates are going to be in Puerto Rico this coming week, and I think at least two of the games will be televised. Supposedly there will be tributes and celebrations for the greatest Buc of them all, Roberto Clemente, so there should be some interesting stuff on Fox Sports.
