Yes, never.

Do a search on Google for the text of Miller's speech. Can't find it. If a speech like that occured at the Democratic convention, the FULL text would be on every mainstream media's web site around.

Okay, so Hitler's Nazis weren't more wrong than today's Democrats.

Also, I did a simple google search of "Zell Miller's speech" and stumbled onto several transcripts of last night's moving performance. One such site can be found at this link, http://www.allamericanpatriots.com/m-wf ... -1439.html.

All in all the GOP Convention was a big score. Very well organized, no big goofs, represented all factions of the party, smart conclusion by W to bring on the final leg of the campaign.

America was well served.

Hmm, is it just me or did that seem like a giant slap in the face to democrats.

As to GW's speech, it did the job and I actually thought that a lot of the things he said near the end of the speech were pretty solid statements. Speaking about having hope for the nation was great, and it was something think the Repubs. should have focused more during their barnburner convention. It was probably the best I had ever seen our president, even thought I disagreed with much that he was saying.

Well, this is the evil in the world our President is trying to eliminate. This is what happens when you are soft on terror. This is why I stand so strongly behind the President - because he will never be soft on terror. My thoughts and prayers are with the Russian people. Islamic radicals are animals, they can't be human.

You have to admit GW is consistent and steadfast. Sure he comes across "down home" and aloof at times. But he is certainly focused on his job. He truly beleives what he says and supports that belief with action.

Should be an excellent politicallly charged weeks ahead. Cant wait for the debates. Cheney will make Edwards look like the little kid he is. Bush will outmaneuver Kerry and expose his inability to stick to a position.

I would suggest that any man or woman elected president in this country would be strong against terrorism now in this post-9/11 world. That's a reality. The problem is, W is holding us hostage to the war on terrorism to the exclusion of almost everything else.

What bothers me, though, is W's "State of the Union Speech" last night when he put up a check list of these "other" changes he proposes, mainly because of various Democrat misdeeds. For God's sake, the GOP pretty much controls the government now as it is. Get real. I'm pretty stupid about a lot of things politically -- but I'm not gonna buy that.

I forgot to mention that one good thing Crazy Zell did was slap Chris Matthews around a little on live TV. That was sort of fun.

foghorn - did it also bother you that Kerry broke from tradition and for the 1st time in history refused to take a back seat during the challengers convention? GW respected the Dem convention and stayed in Texas until it was over. Kerry is the first Presidential candidate EVER to make a speech (and not just one, but two), during the Republican convention. That is a sign of desperation.

What the hell was Bush supposed to do in this speech? Was he supposed to lay over and not tout his many successes? Foghorn - I've respected you in our debates, but your starting to get a little crazy here. At least GW focused on his accomplishments and outlined his plans for the future. All Kerry can do is say, "I served 4 months in Vietnam". Kerry's afraid to focus on his record. All he can do is attack the other side. If you don't believe me, look at his midnight speech that happened about 45 minutes after GW was done.
