Well, Megan played indoor at Procare this winter/spring, and decided that she liked soccer. During track season, she found that she really liked the whole 'team' aspect of the sport, and found that this fall in the soccer team. I went to some open fields with her this summer and I must say that I was very impressed. She has some skills that I've never seen on such an amateur player. Some of it even makes ME jealous! I think this fall will just be her learning experience year. She'll decide if she likes soccer enough to stick it out for another two years, and if not, she'll go back to cross country and still kick some major butt at that.

Gunner:
She doesn't want to do both and be burned out for one or the other. It makes sense, I guess. I'm actually considering doing both out here next fall since they're literally BEGGING for girls to run XC.
I dunno what you're talking about with the little 5 year old cousin thing. To the best of my knowledge, Dan Patterson and all of his kin shun soccer.
