Ridge wins 20-7 against a tough Bulldog team. Three scores for Halbig. The Bulldogs hurt themselves in the first half with turnovers, as did Ridge, fumbling near the goal line after the opening drive. Claysburg had some nice gains in the second half with Weyant options. Barefoot passed effectively at times. Leslie's punting kept the Lions in their half of the field a lot of the second half. Shaffer was hurt early in the game with a helmet to the leg -- looked like some sort of contusion injury. The Lions really missed him as well as Mock, who sat out. The Bulldogs certainly came to play. They were hardhitting and well-coached. The Lions did a good job on Leslie, for the most part. Leslie, by the way, is a real load -- running with strength and speed. He stays so low to the ground. Had the Bulldogs not fumbled in the first half, it might have been a different type of game in the second half. Still, only a fool would have taken the Bulldogs lightly.

The book says play for the tie, and if you lose in OT it's bad luck.
But play for the victory in regulation and lose? You're a bad coach
