Re: (LHAC) Week 4 Preview
Ridge would be about 6-3 this year in the Laurel Highlands! They would have been under .500 last year. Nothing against Ridge but there is a huge difference in the level of play between the two conferences.

Lion-Line05,
You stated, "Teams like BG,BA,CR,and Mo Valley could all compete in the LHAC and get at least 6-3 records."
Maybe... maybe CR could win 6 games in the LHAC this season. That's if they had Richland, Penn Cambria, Central and Cambria Heights all on the schedule.
Chestnut Ridge is good - better than most give them credit for. However, there is no comparison between the two leagues.
This is pointless to discuss because we will never actually know. I believe Ridge will win a playoff game this season and maybe then we will get to see a match-up of ICC vs. LHAC. Maybe then we can put this to rest.

Re: (LHAC) Week 4 Preview
I agree with Jozey I have a lot of respect for Ridge until i get on here and see them talking up the ICC. LHAC is the tougher of the two confrences hands down.
Also I coudnt even see Ridge winning six games because they would be man handeled by Forest Hills, Central Cambria, Bishop McCort, Johnstown, and also of course Bedford. So unless only three of these teams showed up on there schedule they would lose atleast four games.

I also agree with TheEvent! He only forgot 1 thing. BC would also pound them.

For those of you who are reading this and it's making you angry because you think we're degrading the ICC, do understand we aren't.
The ICC is an excellent league for small schools. It allows for great rivalries to build and that's what high school football is all about. There is nothing wrong with the ICC league.
We say the competition isn't as good for the simple fact that it's not possible for it to be. MOST of the schools don't have a high enough enrollment to field a huge football team, thus they don't have as many "skilled" players as the larger schools.
It's just the facts...ICC can't match up with LHAC(most times) and the LHAC has a very hard time matching up with WPIAL(most times)
Lion-Line is really just showing his immaturity and lack of football knowlege by saying all the smaller ICC schools could have winning records against much larger schools in the LHAC.
Ridge belongs in the LHAC because of the size of their school and frankly I wish they'd make the move. Then we could really compare who has a better program.

Ridge is no that big of a school!! The reason we got out of the LHAC is because all of our sports could not compete in that league!! I never said that the ICC is better than the LHAC!! I know that it is a weaker league but it still has alot of good teams!!!

The book says play for the tie, and if you lose in OT it's bad luck.
But play for the victory in regulation and lose? You're a bad coach

#1. Ridge has the same enrollment if not more than Bedford does I think.
#2. The main reason you got out of the conference is Football wasn't competing.
