Riddle #6

1. There are 5 houses in five different colors.
2. In each house lives a person with a different nationality.
3. These five owners drink a certain drink, smoke a certain band of cigar and keep a certain pet.
4. no owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar nor drink the same drink.

THE QUESTION IS - WHO OWNS THE FISH?

The Britt lives in the red house.
The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
The Dane drinks tea.
The green house is on the left of the white house.
The green house owner drinks coffee.
The person who smokes Paul Mall rears birds.
The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
The man living in the house right in centre drinks milk.
The Norwegian lives in the first house.
The man who smokes blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
The owner who smokes Bluemaster drinks beer.
The German smokes Prince.
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water.

The German owns the fish...I did this in a record hour and 4 minutes :evil:

Sounds good Bison...I gave up on it. Did you have to figure out everything about everbody? If you did and if you wrote it down, could you list everything about everybody and how you approached it?

I won't say if your correct yet or not cuz i would like to extend the riddle. You should actually have all this informations but can you tell me everything about everybody

yeah i did...i approached it by drawing a graph...i listed all 25 seperate items (names, colors, drinks, pets, cigars) across the top and the same thing across the left side. If you try this you'll see there will be some boxes you can cancel out(i.e. when the 5 colors go across to meet the 5 colors or when the 5 drinks go across to meet the 5 drinks)

then i went down through filling in all the obvious and just disected each one trying to cancel things out.

Here is what I had

The Dane lived in the Blue house, drank tea, raised horses and smoked Blend.

The Britt lived in the Red house, drank milk, raised birds and smoked Paul Mall.

The Swede lived in the White house, drank beer, raised dogs, and smoked Bluemaster.

The Norwegian lived in the Yellow house, drank water, raised cats, and smoked Dunhill.

and

The German lived in the Green house, drank coffee, smoked Prince and raised FISH.
