but if the backup keeper is a grade or two below the starter, then why not put him in and let him get some valuable varsity experience, so that when your starter graduates, your backup will have an easier time taking over

i don't think you understand gunner, there are 2 goalies, coaches say of equal quality...what then?

well if they are both equally good, then just keep in the starter...unless of course he is a grade or two above the other kid....talent helps but experience can go alot further, so why not let your backup get more game experience?

after talking to the other goalie, and hearing that he did not want to go in, he wanted to let the first one try to get the shutout, they put in the other goalie.
