interesting to see that the house declined that bill 402-2...not a small margin by any sort. but its still a possibility according the rep. from michigan. who knows, gonna be interesting to see what happens after the election.

Even if President Bush wanted to bring it back, which he does not, this vote should tell you that it's never going to get past the House or Senate.

The only way I can envision the draft coming back is if there is an all out attack on our country, much bigger than 9/11. Even then, I doubt it would be needed because you would have millions of brave Americans lining up to defend this great nation of ours.

All I heard was that is was a rumor that the Liberal Democrats made up to stir things!!! I am sure that this is NOT true!!! Bush would never do something like that!!

The book says play for the tie, and if you lose in OT it's bad luck.
But play for the victory in regulation and lose? You're a bad coach

Bush said once again in the 2nd debate that there would be no draft. He hear rumors on the "internets" that there were rumors of this. Maybe I missed something lately.....is there more than one internet? Maybe one for the liberals and the conservatives? Or maybe the gov't gets their very own internet that we are not privy to? Yes, our president certainly has a wonderful command of the English language.
