i remember one game my sr. year the other team had a kid injured and one of our players started to sit down, needless to say i "talked" to him and told him to get his "butt" off the ground....sitting or kneeling for an injury is something that little ayso kids do...not high school varsity players. i know when someone was down i always took advantage of the break (no pun intended) to go to the bench and get some water and recuperate a lil bit.

In response to TownshipWrestlers comment on the fans. Hyndman fans are the worst at making their team look bad. I happened to attend the Everett/Hyndman game last weekend and the game itself was good. Neither team is impressive but they are close in skill level so it was hard fought. The refs actually did a good job with some no calls and advantage situations. Hyndman as a soccer team played respectibly. Their fans on the other hand are loud(which can be good), obnoxious, and uneducated about soccer(which in my mind is the worst). They yell at individual players on the opposing team, the refs, and the opposing fans who said nothing to them. I guess when they played down at Hyndman, a fan was removed by the referee for cursing at him. Fans who don't know the game can give the team a bad name.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that even though Hyndman isn't close to being the dirtiest team in D5, their fans should certainly be up for the award.

I agree some of our fans dont make sence and yell stupid stuff but what are you talking about our fans didnt say anything to the everett fans??? The refs were pretty bad I mean come on the everett kid took out our fullback and then scored that cost us the game..I would like to add hyndman played 4 games in five days that is just stupidity I dont know what the ad is thinking IM not saying that everett wasnt the better team but that had something to do with it plus I think salsbury has to be the dirtiest team we played them the night before everett and they went for the guy instead of the ball all night there was about five yellow cards and one red card they have to be the dirtiest team.

I know that the Hyndman fans were yelling at Everett fans because I was one of the fans getting yelled at. They also yelled up the hill at some other parents. Also the reffing was very competent. Them missing one call is not gonna cost you the game. They called the game evenly and I feel that if the same thing would've happened on our end of the field (if our fullback had gotten run over) there would've been no call that way too.

about bad fans.....berlin had an ok team and for the most part they played fair, but a few of the parents were completely disrespectful to our team. To make it better most of their comments were not even related to soccer....ex. our team was accused of being a bunch of "gay boys" when in fact not one player on our team is homosexual.

the hyndman fans are horrible. in fact the players get nasty sometimes too. i had my own cheering section when we went down there, all i heard the second half from the kids running the scoreboard was "Hey ridge's goalie!!! you're a faggot!!!" and i also heard a fan yell to the ref "where are u parked at?!?"
Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

Sadly to many fans are ignorant to the rules of soccer. IMO anyone that goes to a game and starts to yell at anyone, the ref the players whoever, should have to walk a mile in there shoes and understand both sides. But ignorance is bliss so they are happy with the little knolage they have.

Oh i forgot .....
The fans were so bad the ref had to walk over to them and give a warning. After that mess the other ref asked if they should issue a card when you cant give a card to fans only players and coaches. How bad is that?

My dad is a referee and a coach. He was coaching Hyndman the day of the Ridge game and those boys were punished for yelling those things. Also the ref they were yelling at was a state cop and they did not realize it at the moment. Once he pointed that out, the games he refs have gotten a lot better.

Men forget everything; women remember everything. That's why men need instant replays in sports. They've already forgotten what happened.
