Yea I guess thats a worth while win since Southern isnt that GOOD anyway!!! I can honestly say The players were very respectful @ the end of the game when our band played amazing grace.

Once called cheap....and no class at all. Unsportsmanlike....but now respected by some (or all?).... lol I don't know what to think. Weather to be proud of my school, or laugh at how much this topic has been view and responded to.

I would like to also say, I thought it was nice that the Everett band played amazing grace after the football game. (I heard from our players that they play it in memory of Wade.) But I found it disrespectful when our players also said that the Everett players didn't even stay and listen to it. When ours did...so the question now is...who are the ones that have no class, sportsmanship, or respect to even listen to what a 2 mintue song in memory of a fellow football player, classmate, and friend ?!?!?

I know they played Amazing Grace after all the home games last year so I don't think it is memory of Wade. But they could be doing it in his memory this year and I just don't know about it. I think that was very nice of SH's football players to stay to listen to it be played. If they did so because they thought it was in memory of Wade then I say Thank you to them. I know Wade had friends from Southern Huntingdon.

Lion Pride, in no way do I endorse random ego busting running up of scores for any athletic event.

However, if things happen off the field such as, a coach disrespecting your team with some arrogant statements or as happenned at our game on friday.

At halftime we were cruising along to the tune of 34 to 7. On the way off the field the other team dropped a few N-bombs to one of our players. Sure we could have retaliated and gotten drawn into a brawl. Which would have resulted in injuries, suspensions, etc. That is unsportsmanlike. So in stead of coming out at halftime and laying out for an easy second half the coaches retaliated. Even with a running clock we rocked more points on the board. Ended up being 64-14.

Running up the score? Sure. But with a legitimate purpose.

I doubt they will open their pie hole and spew racial slurs at us again.

I'd have to say a fact that i know that it wasn't even a coaches call it was made on the field by a player which i won't say but they were playing dirty the whole night and still talkin trash at the end .Plus their
coaches said that our schedule is gettin easier starting with southern huntingdon so i think it was a good choice and it shut them up.

i dont think it shut anyone up... if anything, it opened up the can of worms and now people, not only everett people, but lots of people will be 'talking trash' about this for a while. all you had to do was win 32-14 and i think that would have 'shut them up'...you proved that you were a better team, but you also proved that you are just as low as they are and now people are looking down on you instead of giving you respect for winning the game...

I was told there was a post on here about teammates being disrespectful to Wade. Please let me clarify that this is not true in any way, shape or form. Our family has been shown so much love and support from these boys. A lot of these guys were like brothers to Wade and we love each and every one of them.

Someone may have gotten the story a little mixed up about the band playing Amazing Grace for Wade. We actually chose that song to be played at the funeral because the band played it at Wade's last football game.

Those from Southern Huntingdon, I also want to say Thank You. Wade did have many friends at SH. One in particular is Chris Bilger, who has become very special to us.

Sorry to get off the main subject here. I just felt the need to clarify this.
