Who is worse the Tigers or the Pirates

Post by fearandloathing »

Well both teams r truly the most disgracing teams in their respective leagues. The tigers haven't been good in the past 15 yrs while the pirates have gone belly up after bonds got on roids got angry and left pittsburgh. Jason Kendall is a tobacco spitting fiend who needs 2 b traded or sent elsewhere. Jimmy Leyland couldn't save this bunch of trash and I think the Tigers r acutally trying 2 improve. They got the best catcher in baseball in Pudge who liked the $ and could have stayed with the champion Marlins. That's a choice that some people have 2 make. Meanwhile the pirates r still rebuilding. Wouldn't u think after 10 yrs. u would look at ur roster of nobodies and say hell we still suck. Maybe we should try 2 acquire a real team that people know the names of the players. The pirates will continue finishing last and the Tigers r on their way up while the royals and devil rays r gonna battle it out 4 the cellar and the worst records in baseball next season.

You really have alot of baseball knowledge don't you? Granted the Pirates aren't good they are nowhere near the worst team in their league. Jason Kendall can spit all the tobacco he wants, he had the 8th best batting average in the league. After years of making awful moves the Pirates are starting to make good ones the last couple of years. The Perez and Bay for Giles trade is looking pretty good right now. Bay may win rookie of the year and if Perez was on a team who could score runs he would be atleast a sixteen game winner. Jack Wilson had one of the best years of any shortstop in the league. While they are still not good, they aren't awful as u said before. They have a stacked minor league system with tons of young pitchers coming up. If they can keep some of these players they will start to win again and make a run at playoffs in a year or two. They may finally have found a closer for the future in Mike Gonzalez, and with the starters they have coming up through the system things are looking up. Who cares if people know the names of the players? How many people on the Twins do you know off the top of your head? Give them another year or two and they will be a pretty good team.

My question is when will the Pirates actually decide to spend some money to get some talent to go along with their young players? They will never make the playoffs unless they do that.
