Bisons vs Somerset
HAHA, yea. Too bad my parents didn't hold me back, lol. I would love to be on this team. From being down in the lockerroom after school with the team on Fridays, I could tell they all have great chemistry and, for the most part, respect and listen to what the coaches tell them. This team has potential, hopefully thats not all that can be said about the 2004 Bisons' "they had potential"...

somerset keeps it close in the first quarter but after that bedford rolls to an easy victory and continues their winning streak into the district 5/6 playoffs.

Re: Bisons vs Somerset
i think Bedford will come out with a big win... espically this being their last game of the regular season and all... Good luck to everyone...
Re: Bisons vs Somerset
From what i could gather there are 3 main points being debated on the Shoemaker/Swaim topic.
1) Is Wes Swaim doing a good job this year?
absolutely, i think we're all in agreement here
2) Has Wes Swaim improved since last year?
absolutely, his inexperience showed last year and it's becoming less evident every game this year
3) Would Max Shoemaker have been 8-0 to this point?
I feel so sure he would that if i were a betting man, i would place money on it. Max is the best coach i've ever played for...in any sport. Basing this on how well a coach knows his team, how well he knows the game, how battle tested he is in both tight situations and unexpected situations...Max is hands down the best i've had the privilege of playing for. Granted I played on the "rookie" season of Wes Swaim and maybe I didn't get to experience the 'new and improved' Swaim but that's how i feel. Max knew more about the game and knew more about winning as a team than Wes. It's not very apparent this year since Bedford is fortunate enough to have 3 speedsters, they don't need to have all 11 play perfectly every play.
It's really an unfair comparison. Max is way more experienced than Wes. That's why I don't take what i'm about to say as an insult to Wes in any way. Max is a better coach than Wes right now.
Will Wes become better someday? Maybe...probably...who knows...

I would agree with Bison1 and Ham. He was the best I ever played under -- high school or college

Max was a good coach but I think Swaim can be a good one as well. I just think that Swaim will throw the ball better than Max did!! New Era, new ideas and Bedford did it right unlike JoePa at PSU.

New Era Hollywood? Yes, with a new Head Coach. But the Bedford I see runs pretty much the same offense as before.
The big question I have is how do the Bisons adapt to losing Coach Creps next year?
