He's a talented athlete, and I have nothing against him, but people here are interested in varsity basketball. I think most of his time will be with the JV squad. I don't think a player is impacted by dominating at junior high or playing equally talented athletes at JV. Once again, I have nothing against him, but he isn't deserving of a thread a month before basketball season starts. I'm sure Max will still be friends with you if you drop the pom-pom's and quit being his cheerleader. His abilities shall speak for themselves.

Do you play basketball Slaw?

Sounds like Max has some potential. Is somebody working with him?

Yes, I play basketball.

Max is a very good athlete. Ball control may be an issue. He's currently playing football, so no.

I'm a sophomore, and I'm not sure whether you're asking about freshman that are moving up or sophomores in their first year of JV. So I'll just list both.

--Sophomores (this year) that played JH basketball last year--
(? means they are not playing this year or are doubtful)

Nick Herncane, Ryan Spiker, Josh Kohler, Mark Saxman, Jake Utz
Travis and Brock Manges (?), Josh Deffibaugh (?), Connor McGauhey (?), Jimmy Kibler (?)

--Freshman (last year's 8th grade)that played JH last year--
All staying down but Kauert. (I think.)

Max Kauert, Coty Hainsey, Bobby Rhodes, Bryce McVicker, Michael Goddisart, Tyler Schoenberger

That's all I remember. Hope that helped a little.

Info on Max: He's a 6'5" 220 lbs freshman brother transplanted from South Philly. 36" vertical leap, dunks with either hand, awesome ballhandling skills combined with a deadly mid-range jumper. Very smart. Good work ethic.

He'll see a little jv action this year.
