Re: Daschle loses!
I heard Daschele and Kerry are off goose hunting with those semi-auto shotguns Kerry tried to have banned.lol
Bad news is Hilary will be the next candidate in '08, hopefully the GOP can get Guliani to run.Not many others on that side can probably beat her.

Re: Daschle loses!
I'd be willing to guess that Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada will take over Daschle's position as minority leader. I think he's the minority whip right now.

Re: Daschle loses!
Daschele was the whip. Now he's the loon without a roost.

Re: Daschle loses!
Not sure what you meant by that, but Reid is, in deed, the minority whip right now.

Might as well give to Obama. He is their poster child right now.

Re: Daschle loses!
The Senate will have 55 repub. and 45 Democrats (the one independent is consicered a democrat because he votes with them all the time!)

Eagle: I hope Hitlary runs in '08. The silent majority will rear its ugly head bigger than it did for Bush or Reagan. She is bar none the most polarizing political figure in America. Bring her on!

Re: Daschle loses!
I wouldn't vote for Santorum in 08 unless it was Hillary running for the White House! But the new minority leader might be the most feared of all, Hillary Clinton! But it's doubtful she has enough experience in the Senate.

Re: Daschle loses!
The senate has a pecking order. Hillary hasn't been there long enough to challenge for the minority leader. That could change if she used her husband's still considerable clout.

Re: Daschle loses!
He's too far to the right for my liking. I don't really like Kerry either, but I really hate what Bush has done to this country. I'm a moderate, and I rather like people in the middle. I am also very liberal when it comes to rights for all people. That includes guns, gays, freedom of speech, voting, everything you can think of. And unfortunately, extremists on both ends of the party have their own defination of freedom that is too narrow.
I am proud to say that I voted against the defination of marriage amendment in Ohio, which would not only exclude benefits for homosexuals, but also heterosexual couples that were not married. So I differ from Mr. Santorum on quite a few issues.
