Forest Hills always plays bad in the scrimmages. I'm not saying the new Lig/LV team would be atrocious, but c'mon now. They'll never compete with FH, Bedford, McCort, CC, Johnstown, Carroll on a regular basis. I think you'll see how hard it is to play in the LH. There's a big difference, Tubmill, between that and the Heritage.

Ancient,
LV is usually horrible in their scrimmages. This year if anone would have told me the Rams would be in the playoff this year after their first two scrimmages, I would have called them a liar. Ligonier has been terrible over the last 10 - 15 years. Many of their best athletes have not come out for their team because of coaching. I'm saying that a combined LV team with the right coaching would annualy appear in the top half of the LOH, with a chance of winning it.

Tubmill

Although I'm still very skeptical how well they will do up front in the LH you do have some good reasoning.

I feel sure you are correct in that any LIG athletes worth anything aren't really going to go out for a team like that in the first place. with page at the helm... And I assume he will be there at least another few years anyway.... Then that could spur a positive movement...

Time will tell as mentioned..

Where will they play their home games?

hockey nut,
I already know that Coach Page will not coach a the team if they are forced to combine. So the success of the team will depend greatly on who is chosen for the head coaching position. The team's success would also depend on participation. I have heard many LV students say that the would not participate on a combined team but that remains to be seen. However if they get the numbers and a good coach they would match up nicely in the LH. I believe however that they would remain in the Heritage. Also, they would probably play in Ligonier. This move to consolidate is driven by the people in Ligonier. Laurel Valley people want to keep their community school.
