Pale Rider, but how do you get those players interested in your school? Convince them you know what you're talking about? Seems to me it's a heck of a lot easier to show them a scoreboard.
Here's a scary note for PSU:
I went to Rivals.com and looked at all the verbals for every position. NO verbals for PSU listed on that site. I then went through the position lists where they rank the players and give a small list of schools they are leaning to. It looks very, very bleak so far for PSU.

I was just saying that its easier to recruit players than win games esp in the SEC, people have to remember a 2 star player in FLA would be a blue chipper in Ohio for example.
Rivals is not a reliable site. It is based on who the athletes and AD say who has offers from whom.
For example, I know of a few athletes on rivals that dont have offers from where it says they do!

I hope you're right about the rivals thing. The verbals they have listed ARE correct, though.
As far as your comment about a 2 star athlete in Fla. being a blue chipper in Ohio... that couldn't be more wrong. If that was the case, coaches wouldn't say that Texas and Florida and California and Pennsylvania and Ohio are the serious recruiting hotbeds. Take into consideration population bases. There's more people down there than there is in PA. That doesn't mean the Florida players are necessarily better, it means there is a potential of more blue-chippers per graduation class. That's why the high school ball down there is so hyped up.

Florida and Texas both have better HS football than PA. They have more skill players as well as some linemen. I saw a recruiting film that had 21 D-IA players on it from both Florida HS and a Texas HS. Pretty interesting! PA has some great players but nothing like that on two teams!

I am 10000000000000000000000000000% percent sure that the offers on rivals for 2 people arent true. FLA high school football is the best in country

I see Texas high school ball every week down here, and I find it hard to believe that it could be any better. DeSoto alone (about 40 mins south) already has about 5 kids going I-A and they aren't even that great.
Also, take into consideration the sizes of the school districts.
I am thinking that the Rivals lists aren't necessarily for offers, but maybe more of a thing where that is where the players would like to go. I-A athletes get letters all the time from all over the place. Obviously some are more serious than others. What I'm saying is, maybe you got the standard form letter from Penn State and got an actual offer from Pittsburgh, so you are leaning more towards Pitt as far as Rivals is concerned.
Pale Rider, who are the 2 kids?

I wouldnt feel right putting it on here, but i do know for sure! Texas football is good but it doesnt compare to Fla ball. Enemy you look at Miami Senior or Northwestern alone in Fla they average 12 to 15 D1 players a year in football its sick
