The book says play for the tie, and if you lose in OT it's bad luck.
But play for the victory in regulation and lose? You're a bad coach

It's a shame one team had to lose this game.

Bedford did not deserve to win, evidenced by allowing CC's Mesaros to throw for over 300 yards (302 officially). On the other hand, CC allowed Bedford to rack up over 300 yards rushing, which should have taken them right out of the game as well. It's easy to see that numbers do not always tell the tale.

Both teams had chances to put the game away, as CC once again led the Bisons 14-0 early, but didn't score again until giving up 28 straight to Bedford. The Bisons also had their chances to slam the door and didn't get it done, as others have mentioned numerous times already.

The game is over...

More important (to me anyway) was the fact the Bisons were very gracious and respectful in defeat. As I mentioned a few weeks back, the Bedford football players will smack you in the mouth until the whistle, then help you up afterwards. As a matter of fact, Bedford's Troy Harris stood by a CC player as he lay injured on the field tonight. Pure class on the part of T. Harris - I wouldn't expect anything less from the Bisons.

Most of you know my thoughts about CC, but it's a real shame the Bisons run ended so early. Bedford is a quality team that certainly could have won more games over the next few weeks.

It was a very good football game. Bedford's coach should have not went for 2 it was like when the coach for the lions did that last year and they lost to. But over all it was a good game Good job to CC.

That call was made because the kicker had missed a PAT and 2 field goals. Also, CC scored very easily on Bedford's D in their offense series and taking these both into consideration, Bedford's best chance to pick up the win was to go for it right there. It just didn't work out that way, a very close call of whether the 2 pt conversion was good but it could have gone either way.

The very play you are all talking about is where some type of replay needs to come into affect. I know this is only HS football but what the hell the pro's and the Big 10 have it.

What a sad way to end a great season. Bedford could have kicked an extra point, or they could have chosen a different play; however, I feel if you ask Mike Young to get you 1 yard, he'll accomplish this about 95% of the time. I've talked to many different people and they all thought Young crossed the goal line. It's just a shame there is no way of reviewing plays of this magnitude.

The refs did not blow the game we just lost to a team that executed better than us tonight. I think most people new going into the game CC had the potential to upset Bed. It was a great game and the kids from both teams played really hard was ashame to see anyone lose last night. No excuse's though!! We just got beat nothing else really to be said. I could have sat out in the cold and watched another 4 quarters though. Last night was what highschool F-ball is all about.

I don't mean to single two kids out after all played so great, but Troy HArris and Matt Mesaros played great. Harris with his feet and Mesaros his arm. Wow

Jozey- you are a class act yourself. You are very gracious in victory. Thank you.

i agree it was sad to see a loser in this game. i played against both teams and mark my words they are both good quality football teams. i have more respect for troy harris and bedford than any other team in the LHAC. Even though i would like to beat them more than any team, i respect them. They are a class act and had a great season. Good luck to CC the rest of the way and let them represent the LHAC with class.
