We have to wait and see because there's no way to play soccer in the winter except for indoor in which the girls are all split up into differnent teams for indoor. And some girls aren't playing indoor soccer because they didn't find a team or are too busy with basketball. Also, we don't what what all freshman will be coming out next year. Setting some goals is a VERY good idea though CRDawg....I'll have to present that idea to some of the girls now to think about and then at the begining of the season to actually set them.

Sadly, Count is right about most of what he said. There were only 3 freshmen (including me) going out for soccer when I was a freshman and then this past year there were only 2 freshmen. Most of the girls at Ridge start off playing volleyball in 7th and 8th grade and plan on switching to soccer once they get into ninth grade. But, by the time ninth grade rolls around, they get attatched to volleyball and never switch. Luckily, if all goes as planned, Ridge will be starting a Jr High soccer program soon. That should definately help get kids into soccer.

I am impressed with your initiative SC. My point is shouldnt either the head coach or even the AD provide some leadership and expectation? Develop a plan and put it in play?

don't look for help from the AD...but the coach will definitely do something...she is an awesome coach she'll take the girls to the next level

Does she have a plan in play for the next year for offseason development?

That would be a big boost to the program.
