I think Coach proves a point here. You can't turn around a program in high school right away. You have to give it a few years. If it doesn't happen, then I understand bashing the coach.

I agree you need time but they didn't do anything at all well. Just watch them play and can tell if the team is well coached or not!! Oh well think what you guys want but I have strong ideas and opinions if you can't take them then I don't know what to tell you.

I can take them...

Just don't judge too early and be so critical. If that were the case you would have been all over some guy back around 1980 if this site would have been around. People were used to seeing 8 or 9 win teams and got some real cruddy ones. Was Nastasi a terrible coach? NOPE!

I was at four Central games this season. So, I saw them more than just about everyone on this site. They weren't actually that bad. No, they can't compete with the better LHAC teams this season. But, they could've pulled out 4 victories this season with a little more experience under their head coach. That is just my opinion. I'm no scout or anything great.

Well if you are going to compare Coach Nastasi to Coach Hoenstine then you are out in outer space somewhere and don't need to be talking at all to me or anyone else about good coaches. Coaching is a fine art that very few do well. Have deal with a lot and some of that is critics. Even as a great player you have to deal with it. I am not coaching right now and I am a outsider judging what i see!! If you can't deal with it and move on then you got problems and I am right most of the time so truth hurts. If you think he is so great coach go join his awesome staff!!!

Coach - pride is a heck of a thing. I think someone's pride was hurt when they weren't offered that job over Hoenstine. It didn't matter who got it, they were going to be terrible in his book.

Hard headed is all that comes to mind....

You probably read three sentences in each of my posts.

IF NO ONE HAD GIVEN NASTASI A CHANCE AFTER HE FAILED EARLY, THEN WE WOULD HAVE NEVER SEEN ALL THE GOOD THAT CAME LATER!

Even as the years went by he had teams with occasionaly 3-4 win teams.

Hard to win at A all the time...try being slightly bigger than NBC playing all the studs in the LHAC.

Oh me oh my!

Also, I'm obviously not talking about their entire careers as one is just beginning and one ended 8 years ago or so. Same point in each career...you see similar records.

LionPride,

YOU hit the nail on the head about who got that job!! Think what you want about me getting the job or what not but I would put people in the stands and have a reputation a million times better than what he is doing!!

I didn't say he was terrible, I said it didn't matter who got it, you would say that person was terrible.

I'll take something from what you said - I'm an outsider looking in here and I call it the way I see it.

Anyway, you never did answer Coach and I think he asked a good question. Would you have given NB credit back then if you were you now?
