Panthers,
From up in Cambria County, Super Job Panthers! Everyone from the coaches to the admin and especially the players! You hit like trucks, the ride sprint was sweet, Coach Batzel, and you all made my second Thursday night trip to NBC much more enjoyable than the first one, Ridge last season.
Coach Foor and staff, keep up the good work!

They will be playing Conemaugh Twp, not Berlin. The Cadillac, from what I've heard, is suspended again, for the Twp game. Even with him in the line-up I still take CT.

Re: North Star at Northern Bedford Score/Recap???
This blow out win is a prime example of how weak and poor D5 A really is. North Star was only 4-5 and still made it to the playoffs which is a disgrace. There are teams in D6 with better records and would kill north star and beat Northern Bedford that didn't even make the playoffs, talk about giving away playoff spots. Hopefully somday there will be good teams in D5 A and it won't be just a joke.
Re: North Star at Northern Bedford Score/Recap???
Way to pull down a good post with a negative slap in District 5's grill.
Listen Hines, it is what it is. Moaning about D5 won't give your team any more wins. Maybe North Star did not deserve to make the playoffs with four wins, but they did beat perennial power Windber when given the chance. It's all about getting it done when it counts. North Star and Township have shown they did deserve a shot in the playoffs within their district, as evidenced by their opening round victories.
I look at these posts a lot like I look at the Bishop Carroll posts. People will complain about anything and everything when they're not included. Calling BC recruiters and ripping on D5 won't change one single thing... why waste your time?

Steeler86: Do you realize how hypocritical your comment is when District 6 has an OPEN tournament in basketball. That means a team with 0 wins could enter.
At least District 5 has similar qualifying standards for all sports.
Next point. If 5/6 were still together 2 more D6 teams would have been sitting at home as Berlin and Windber would have qualified via the D6 point system. Interesting that North Star BEAT a team that would have qualified should have 5/6 still been together. That's what makes the playoffs fun.
Northern's 3 losses, not that they need to defend themselves, were to D6 #3 seed J.Valley (By far there closest game thus far), A very good "AA" qualifying C.Ridge squad and a late loss to Claysburg in a game that could have gone either way. Claysburg was good enough to qualify but was a product of the point system and was nudged out.

Up until Hines reply, I thought this post was very good. Sitting back and reading these posts puts a smile on my face because it shows that when other teams win, people come together to congratulate each other for their success. LHSports was always someone crying about a poor call or something else that happened. I like to see Ridge and Everett and all those other teams wishing NBC the best of luck. This is what it is all about. This is awesome.

Re: North Star at Northern Bedford Score/Recap???
Did anyone else notice the nice kickoff by North Star to where it went like 2 yards because the kicker missed the ball. North Star picked up the ball then and NBC got it on North Stars 44 yard line. North Star shoulda got a penalty and kicked off 10 yards closer to NBC territory. right?
