HS- Fort Cherry in WPIAL/Pittsburgh and College-West Virginia but never played and transfered to IUP maybe!!

1974 Portage Area High School

Mike Chobany...rushed for over 4,000 yards in his high School career. Went to play at Pitt
Gary Gouse (head coach at Portage)......rushed for over 1000 yards. Went to play at St. Francis
Mike ?????....great QB went to play at Army..not sure about this one

Portage went 10-0

Side note to the Brian Koontz entry mentioned earlier from NBC in 1984.

I personally remember Koontz scoring on 7 consecutive carries during a scrimmage at Shade. 80 yards on at least five of those.

I know it was a scrimmage against an inferior team, but it was impressive, none the less.

Perhaps someone else saw that display as well.
