Are you readdddy for Eddddieeee????
Re: Are you readdddy for Eddddieeee????
the youngsters make their presence felt today. I see a season that is better than last, but still not to .500. Next year should be the best year they've seen in a while with all kinds of experience returning. I don't care who says they are D2 or whatever...they aren't the same kind of guys Pitt is getting, but they can play some ball. Things are improving with Eddie around...
How bout Aaron Johnson's 24 rebounds today?!?!?!
PSU has 3 seniors and none of them are playing a major role at all for the Nits.
Next year, all the key guys will return...Next year, PSU is over .500 again...probably not by much, but they're getting better. I know they won't contend for any titles or anything, but I still enjoy following them just as I do the Pirates.

Geary Claxton
Mike Walker
Brandon Hassell
Danny Morrissey
All 4 are freshmen seeing MAJOR minutes and producing. 32 points tonight including 16 from Hassell. Claxton was the leading scorer a night ago.
Ben Luber
Marlon Smith
Two sophs who started last year too. Smith is a scorer and Luber is a very good ball handler running the point.
6 guys that when Luber and Smith are seniors should have PLENTY of experience and should be successful, seasoned veterans. Eddie loves to run, but I'd still like to see a few more big guys who can play some ball.

First of all, let's not confuse the Catamounts of Western Carolina with the other b-ball schools in that state. And what's all the talk about NEXT YEAR after only 2 games?

Ya know, it's not like Penn State has ever had a good basketball program. They've always been bad! Who cares?! That's like me being from Syracuse and going up to a Buffalo fan and telling them "your team is soooooo bad!" There's no comparison here, folks. Pitt has a good basketball team and will continue to do so. Penn State's basketball team plays in a bad conference and they play like crap. Who cares!

The tal k comes because YOUNG STUDS can get it done...these guys aren't the studs at UNC, Duke, etc. They'll do fine, BUT their successes will build like midmajors....from getting older and playing more and more and more as a team.

psu isnt allowed to take people like pitt is. pitt can just take anyone as long as they are breathing. that was the policy of the previous coach anyway. troutman had a 0.000001 gpa his last year in high school and psu had to stop recruiting him but somehow pitt and their high academic standards got him in. pitt realy isnt a college basketball team they are just a basketball team!!!

PSU gets smashed by a decent South Carolina State team today...the youth will have its ups....BUT the downs will come much more often. I just hope they keep playing hard.

They got beat by South Carolina State? You have to be kidding me. Another sport that Penn State is bad in. I can see why there's so many topics on Penn State recruiting now. PSU sports are terrible once again this year.

I thought the program was on the rebound when "throw it up and hope it hits something" brothers were playing??? What happened, other than a one year fluke?

actually psu sports are extremely good. just the ones that many people are most familiar with (football, basketball, baseball) seem to struggle. the basketball team has struggled for a long time because they arent able to recruit do to couple of reasons and the baseball team is about par for a northern team. hopefully now that they got a premium coach they will do better
