Re: PSU all over MSU
that qb draw was lethal. i counted 15 times that play was called. ridiculous.
the playcalling on saturday was still the same as what everybody was complaining about all season. the difference in outcome was that the line actually blocked and other guys actually executed the way they should have. the fundamentals and execution which joe paterno teams have been known for finally were found.
if psu can get 1 or 2 more top recievers in their recruiting class, if the current players stay out of trouble, if morelli develops over the offseason, if other players continue to improve (conner gaining 20lbs wouldnt hurt for example), and if nothing else bad happens over the offseason, penn state should have a pretty good team next year.
the offensive line will determine how good next years team is. i would expect they would have to be better b/c every guy on the line now has a year of experience.

*NOTE*
DWill was in the house on Saturday as part of an unofficial visit. The student section chanted his name at times pleading for him to don the blue and white. We'll see soon enough where he chooses to go.

Re: PSU all over MSU
USF is 4-5, and UC just clinched a bowl spot with a 6 win season. Neither team is a pushover, but neither team is powerhouse material either. I think PSU can beat both of them if they start out on the right note. But if not, they can lose very easily to UC.
But still, why wouldn't the Big East, if they wanted to remain a football powerhouse, put on Miami (OH), Akron, Bowling Green, Marshall, and Northern Illinois? I think that they are more worried about basketball right now than football, and that in 2007, when their BCS bid is up for review, that they'll probably lose it. It may become a winner between the Big East, MAC, WAC, and C-USA gets an automatic bid. That'd still be six teams, and they'd get a competitive one that probably every bit as good as the other 5 that get in.

Re: PSU all over MSU
I just said all that.
There's alot of "ifs" there, Austin. Expect the defense to be even better next year than this year. The offense... who knows. There are not very many opportunities on that schedule to ease in a new quarterback. I heard Robinson has decided to go pro, and they haven't said it yet. That was why he was lining up all over the field all season. If that kid goes pro, he's in for a rude awakening. But with the new QB, that is also why PSU will beat Cincinnati. Cincy is losing their QB, and he's good, and he's been there about 9 years. I don't have muich faith in a Conference USA depth chart, even though I love Conference USA football. That's why PSU will beat the Bearcats. As for USF... the season will be determined early, let's just say that. USF gets better every year. Of course Penn State SHOULD win, but they should also be defeating 95% of the Big Ten. They don't. They'll be better next year, but let's not get too excited. They'll be ranked in the top 20 in the preseason, yes.
