Re: Will the steelers win the rest of their games?
The Steelers offense played awful yesterday every time they got in the red zone, but the defense pulled it out with an interception return for a TD. If not for that, it's 14-12 Cincy. And if they continue to play like they did yesterday, I can see them losing 3 or 4 more before the end of the season. But they won't, at least it's very doubtful.
The two toughest games left on the schedule will be at Buffalo Bills, and at the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags have one heck of a defense, and can beat most anybody. However, they've had a few problems as of late, and since starting 3-0, they've gone 3-4. But they'll still be playing for a wild card spot. The Bills are just the opposite. They started 0-5, but they've gone 4-1 since then. Their defense is very tough, and Willis McGahee is a break out running back. The Bills, if they continue to win, may have a wild card spot on the line when they play the Steelers. If not, at the very least it will be for respect and in Buffalo. The Steelers may have a lot to lose there, such as a first round bye.
The Giants at New York will be tough, but this team has been playing worse and worse lately, and may just play itself out of the playoffs. The Jets are a tough, resilient team, but they will be traveling to Steel City, just as Baltimore will. Playing at Washing next week will also be tough, but the Redskins have the worst offense in the NFL (well, pretty near), and the Steelers have the best defense. Nuff said.
So two games will likely determine if Pittsburgh can win out: at Buffalo and at Jacksonville.
