State Finals
Well, the state soccer finals are set for Saturday at Hershey.
AAA will be West Chester Henderson vs. Upper St. Clair, which is a rematch of last years championship. USC played at Hollidaysburg last night and looked pretty good beating Manheim Twp. 2-0
AA will be Radnor vs. South Park
A will be Antietam vs. Trinity Christian. Trinity was the runner up last year to Christopher Dock, but Antietam knocked them off last night. Antietam is the only team going to Hershey that is not from either District 1 or 7.
Should be three pretty good games. I plan to head out to Hershey on Saturday and see at least two of them.

Re: State Finals
After finishing working out at the Hollidaysburg YMCA, I wondered over and caught the last five minutes of the game. I did not realize this was a state semifinal game. Knowing this now, I was surprised by the lack of a crowd. I also watched the State College vs. Altoona District 6 championship game and thought again that the crowd was small. Why do you think this is?
By the way, I am not a soccer hater. I watched DC United win the MLS championship Sunday. Aso this fall, I have watched more high school soccer games than I have watched football games.
If the weather is nice, I will be outside. If the weather is bad, I will watch the championship games on PCN television.
Enjoy life!

Re: State Finals
I think part of the reason is that both teams have a good amount of travel time, so most students will not attend. Manheim Twp. is about 3 hours away and USC is about 1.5. I was more disappointed that more of the local soccer players and fans were not there. I saw a couple kids from Altoona, but that was it.
