I heard there was a very controversial 4th down call. Something about GC going for it, a measurement that was initially called as GC not converting and Tyrone ball, a remeasurement with a ref laying on the ground running a piece of paper between the stick and ball, and then signaling 1st down for GC.

Didn't see the game, didn't hear the game, but was told this by someone that listened to it. Anyone there able to verify?

That's what the Altoona Mirror described... Wonder how long they have had that rule in effect...

The darn card wasn't even touching the post, it was against the pad that goes around the post. We had a chance to drop the kid for a 2 yd loss and missed that tackle. Bottom line is, we allowed it to come down to an official instead of making the play ourselves. The refs(d-7 crew) did blow like the wind, but no excuses, GC is going to Hershey, best of luck to them.(I still hate stripes)

Great season, Tyrone. I wouldn't have expected a Tyrone loss after last week, though.

Has anyone ever seen a measurement done with a piece of paper before? That doesn't really make sense to me. Maybe one of those D-7 refs had a kid on Seton-Lasalle and was still sore from the stomping Tyrone put on them last weekend.
