They're off to a good start, but against some fairly weak teams. Let's see how they do at Chestnut Ridge Friday night.

(from the Barefoot thread) Friday night, December 10, at Chestnut Ridge

Chestnut Ridge 55, Forbes Road 48

Barefoot was doubleteamed by Kody Gartland and Chad Gelvin for the first 3 quarters and was pretty much shut down until the 4th. Ridge was up 35-34 at the end of the 3rd. Ridge made a nice run early in the 4th and Forbes didn't respond well. Forbes seemed to back off on Barefoot in the 4th, Garland in foul trouble, and it seemed to cost them.

Honestly, both teams looked like this was their first game, pretty shaky. Many turnovers both ways and shooting percentages were poor. Very few baskets made from more than 10 feet out.

Barefoot finished with 19 points, most of which in the 4th quarter. For Forbes, Chad Gelvin had a hard earned 17 points.

--This should be another good game when Ridge comes to Forbes.
--Brandon Gelvin had an off night. He helped alot on defense but couldn't buy a basket. The ball seemed over-inflated for both teams.
