The resignation of Jeannette head coach Bob Murphy earlier this week opens up yet another football head coaching job in the WPIAL.
Murphy, who will remain on as athletic director at Jeannette, retired after 35 years as either an assitant or head coach for the Jayhawks.
The Jayhawks were 78-20 with 2 trips to the W.P.I.A.L. finals in Murphy's 9-year tenure as head coach.
Tom Dolde has been hired to replace Andy Robertson at Connellsville and earlier this week, Don Holl was named the new head football coach at Kiski Area replacing Dave Grimm.
Now including Jeannette, here are the six jobs that remain open.
Fox Chapel to replace Todd Massack
Greensburg-Salem to replace George Kemerer
Montour to replace Bruce Byrom
North Allegheny to replace Jim Rankin
West Shamokin to replace Randy Tira
& Southmoreland Area
